What is an assignment of contract? An assignment is when the original purchaser of a Pre-Sale decides to sells their contract of purchase and sale to another Buyer before the unit under contract is set to complete.

The reason the word “Assignment” is used is because the original Buyer Assigns their rights in the sale over to the new Buyer ie. assingor/assingee. The Seller of an assignment is the Assignor and the Buyer of an Assignment is the Assignee.
